My self-confidence came alive as I received the named of 4A Regional Champ in the four hundred meter competition. Soon the time would arrive to show I was greater than most girls beyond my place. As State competition appeared it was my time to demonstrate hard work pays off. Not only do I be competitive in the four hundred meter, nevertheless also in the 800 run medley as well as the 41 relay. When preliminaries ended for our medley and 41 relays we unfortunately would not qualify for finals.
