Adults and children alike delight in fairy reports because, to a certain extent, there are universal themes which can make the stories predictable. Three of these styles are parental abandonment, victimization, and the all-important happy closing.

Fairy tales provide an avoid for you and ways to vicariously encounter a different kind of life in which anything is achievable. The idea of parent abandonment appears an anathema in a children’s story. Even so, Little Crimson Riding Hood ventures alone into the forest to walk to her grandmother’s house, in spite of the danger offered by the wolf. Snow White and Cinderella’s parents die and leave them with cruel stepmothers.

In Beauty and the Beast, Belle is usually without a mother and her father is a bit of a kook who can’t look after her properly. All of the characters are put in situations through which they become subjects. The three small pigs need to protect their very own homes coming from a wolf; Little Reddish colored Riding Hood must outsmart a wolf who has enjoyed her grandma and hidden himself. Cinderella and White, on the other hand, need to outsmart their particular cruel stepmothers in order to find real love.

The most common idea in fairy tales (except, of course , to get the Grimm versions) is they have a happy ending. Cinderella and Snow White defeat all their stepmothers and marry the prince, Little Red Riding Hood plus the three little pigs outsmart the baby wolves and conserve themselves via certain death. A mythic just isn’t a fairy tale without a content ending; after all, the story of Cinderella would be less powerful if the lady had overlooked the ball and certainly one of her unattractive stepsisters experienced married the prince.

Beauty and the Beast would have recently been less of a fairy tale if perhaps Belle’s like hadn’t transformed the Beast.
