The task that stands before me from this paper should be to address two situations and determine the ethical guidelines in which a person should work. The two philosophical approaches which i will analyze the situations with the Kantian and Functional point of view. Kant deciphers his ethical concerns by examining a persons motivation for executing an action regardless of the implications. A person who utilizes the Kantian view believes that the just pure very good is natural human explanation without outcomes. This natural human cause works without the influence of human feelings and desires. A truly great act as defined by Margen is performed as a result of an obligation for the categorical essential. The aims and personal daily activities of the individual executing the act must kept separate and distinct.
Utilitarism makes moral decisions based on the consequences with the action considered. Unlike the Kantian see the motives aren’t important only the consequences. The action is usually measured simply by how much happiness or unhappiness the action creates. The perfect ethical decision is the one that creates the most delight and the least amount of sadness. It nearly impossible to obtain different degrees of freedom as a person would have to experience all the different degrees of freedom to determine what degree of delight is better than the other.
Upon examining the thief who also stole through the millionaire Margen would examine the motives of the thief. The robber is taking for himself regardless of his situation. Regardless if his is poor and struggling. The thief is still furthering himself. The reasons intended for the robber stealing in the wealthy person doesnt matter. Stealing is usually against the widespread law that it can be wrong to steal from another individual.
