Introduction/Anticipatory Set:

Expose the book A Bank Full of Smooches by Audrey Penn. (We read the sequel The The kiss Hand previously).

Students look through the publication at all the images. They will orally describe that they can see.

Tutor will orally read the book to the college students.

Students will orally see the book with someone.

Group conversation on what the story was about.

Students will certainly draw an image and compose one phrase about their favorite character.

The anticipatory arranged draws from student’s preceding knowledge. This draws them into the lessons.

Builds comprehension and terminology.

This allows the learners to hear the vocabulary and language in the book, and how it must be read with prosody.

In general I believe the lesson went very well. The students had been engaged, up to date, and desperate to learn. Linking the lesson with earlier reading facilitated interest and instilled confidence in the scholar’s ability to achieve success. Each college student worked at the appropriate instructional level and demonstrated various degrees of comprehension of the learning goals set forth.
