For the sake of providing the best services to their students, English professors arrange their English vocabulary teaching and learning activities as excellent like possible. That they spend usually to make preparing for their teaching. However , combined with process of such preparation, they sometimes usually do not consider the value of likewise preparing the unplanned teaching. Consequently, when ever things fail, they often acquire difficulties on what they decide to do.
Therefore , this research is crucial being conducted as its result would be able to give knowledge to English teachers means appropriately reply when this kind of phenomenon has surface.
The purposes with this study were 1) to see the categories of EFL learners’ unexpected behaviors in the act of improving proficiency in english in class and 2) to recognize the work of English language language professors in handling such actions. This research utilized the qualitative design and style in which declaration and interview were employed as the key instruments in carrying out the research.
To be the participants of this present study, three English instructors from 3 different state junior high schools in Bogor were purposively chosen. The conclusions showed that there were 4 major types of the EFL learners’ unexpected behaviors, specifically learners’ psychological problems, uncooperative attitude, learners’ intelligence level and learners’ native language use.
