On a warm time in June of 98, Dr . Harry Rubash was in front of a bookshelf in his new office arranging photographs of his family and previous colleagues in Pittsburgh. He looked out his windows to the abondance of clinic buildings and tangled Boston streets beneath. It was a fantastic picture, he thought, of the problems that encountered him in his new placement at the Ma General Hospital (MGH).

Doctor James Herndon, his past colleague on the hospital approach to the University of Pittsburgh, had brought him to MGH to adopt over while chief of orthopaedics for Massachusetts Basic Orthopaedic Affiliates (MGOA).
