In the play Julius Caesar, William Shakespeare shows someone the effects of all those words. Julius Caesar can be described as tale of a leader betrayed by his close friend Brutus, by exploit their good friend Cassius. When Caesar was killed Brutus’s one work was to convince the colleagues that the killing was for the better and benefited the people of Rome. Though Mark Antony and Brutus’s speeches got similarities with the use of rhetorical and convincing devices, Brutus’s stood considerably above Brutus’s because of his use of Logos, Ethos, Solennité, and anaphora. Brutus and Mark Antony’s speech have many similarities. Something they both believe is that Caesar’s death was pertaining to the greater good and rewards the people of Rome. In Brutus’s speech he says “If then that friend require why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: not which i loved Caesar less, nevertheless that I cherished Rome more. ” (JC 3. two 20. 22).
